So, as most avid fans of King of the Hill know, the show aired its "series finale" in September 2009, with 4 unaired episodes shown in syndication in May 2010. Discussion of the show and its future has died down significantly these last few years, and dang it, I want to start it back up. I love this show. I was an avid watcher for most of the years it aired on FOX, and I still watch reruns as much as possible....although with Adult Swim showing less King of the Hill as of late, Netflix dropping the show from their collection, and my local FOX affiliate moving KOTH from 5:30 CT to after midnight in September, catching an episode is becoming more of a rarity, and that's a shame. Of all the animated shows FOX has aired, King of the Hill was and is the best (I'll argue that The Simpsons used to be, but the episodes they've been churning out the past decade have mostly sucked.). Family Guy is a distant third, with Futurama and American Dad rounding out my vote in fourth and fifth, respectively. All of the shows FOX has attempted in the years following KOTH's cancellation have paled in comparison to their predecessor. Bob's Burgers is okay, but it is certainly not worthy of being KOTH's replacement at 8:30/7:30 CT. I sincerely hope FOX will reevaluate their Sunday night lineup in the near future and give King of the Hill the revival it deserves, but until that day comes, and believe me, it will come, we'll just have to rejoice in what was and speculate about the show's future. That's where this forum comes into play. As of now, there are no active forums discussing King of the Hill. This forum will change that. Whether King of the Hill re-hits the airwaves a year from now or ten years from now, I plan on this forum being here. But in order to discuss the show, active members will be needed! So this is where I invite you to join and become an 'Arlen' resident. Welcome to Arlen, y'all!
