It's a shame to see him retire, as he is the only remaining late night host of the Carson-era (not counting Arsenio) still on the air. I've spent many nights before bed watching his monologues and the crazy antics he does from time to time, and while those antics have slowed in recent years...and his jokes have become more bitter and certainly biased, that doesn't keep me from turning to him for a laugh. He's a legend and shall retire a legend, second only in the late night business to the late Johnny Carson himself, in my opinion (not to discredit Leno, but I view this debate in the same way I view the Coke vs Pepsi debate...Coke is obviously better!).
